The Committee have made the tough decision to cancel this rally, this is due to the minimum numbers required by Drayton Manor and their cancellation policy regarding refunds.
If you have provisionally booked a hotel room you will need to contact the Hotel to cancel your booking, otherwise you will be charged 4 days before.
Refunds for the food will issued within the next week.
The LRCCC Summer newsletter has now been published and can be found to view/download here.

The park have notified us that the swimming pools and leisure facilities will not be open and that there will be no evening entertainment during the weekend of our rally. We know that most people book onto this weekend to enjoy the full facilities usually on offer at Whitemead and we feel that this rally no longer offers good value for the members while these restrictions are in place. Therefore following discussion, the committee have made the decision to cancel the rally. Anyone who is booked on will be contacted and arrangements made for either refunds or transfers of any money that has been paid. Please be patient as some committee are still away on holiday rallies and you will be contacted as soon as is practical. Thank you for your understanding.
The committee have had to make alterations to the following upcoming rallies. Decisions about the rallies for the rest of the year will be made nearer the time. There will be no organised social activities at any of the following weekends. LRCCC Covid Secure Guidelines will apply.

I expect everyone to respect the rules and follow them so that we can continue to rally safely.
The lovely site of Camping Las Hortensias, is located right next to the gorgeous beach of Playa de la Franca. During high tide, it is a quiet bay, very safe for children and excellent for water sports and when the tide is low, the beach is a large expanse of fine sand surrounded by small coves and rock pools.
On the edge of the beach are 2 bars serving seafood and drinks until late. There is also a hotel with family restaurant and terrace bar offering tremendous views of the beach.
The site has excellent toilets and showers; tennis court; playground; shop and restaurant. Wifi available on site. The pitches are terraced and have 10A EHU.
The site is less than 1 hour drive from Santander.
The beautiful medieval town of Llanes is 12 miles away, and the roman town of San Vicente de la Barquera is 12 miles the other direction. Both offering shops, bars, restaurants and beautiful architecture.
The mountain range of Picos de Europa is in the area where you can climb to the summit by cable car.
The site costs are approx. £500 for 2 weeks & £750 for 3 weeks. The ferry is approx. £1000/£1300 and is a 24/29 hour crossing from Portsmouth to Santander.

Hi everyone. So after 4 months we have got the green light and we can enjoy being out in our caravans and motorhomes again from 4th July.
Obviously things will be different for a while which is why we have set out some guidelines to make rallying safe and comfortable for everyone.
Please take the time to read through these so that we all know what to expect when we arrive at the rally field.
We have a wide spectrum of members and some may wish to be more cautious than others during these first few weeks, so please be considerate to your fellow members and respect their space.
I'm confident that we can enjoy our weekends away again, even if they may be slightly different to what we have been used to for a while.
So please, read through the guidelines and we look forward to welcoming you on the rally field from 4th July onwards.

If you are unwell please do not attend the rally. No day visitor will be allowed, even if they are club members.
A full set of guidelines will be issued on the FB page, website and will be emailed to every member.
I am pleased to announce our rally program for 2021. I think we all need for good news and something to look forward to. We were so disappointed to have to cancel the Music Festival, so we have planned it again for 2021. We need your help to marshal the rallies. So if you would like to volunteer please speak to myself or Lee Sheldon. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Julie Derbyshire

We really hoped this wouldn't have to happen but it is so important we follow the rules and stay safe.
The LRCCC Committee have decided to cancel all rallies up to and including Statfold Barn Railway. We feel as the current situation is not getting any better, we should cancel the following rallies

A refund by Paypal or cheque will be issued if a transfer is not required. Refunds by cheque could take several weeks.
We will advise you as soon as we know if the Whitsun holidays at Pentewan & Hendra are going ahead. The balances for these holidays are due shortly, but we are asking you to not send the balance at the moment. We will ask for it closer to the time once we have some definite news.
Please transfer your deposits where possible as this is easier and less costly to the club. Refunds by cheque are difficult as we need 2 signatories on the cheques and Dave won't see anyone to get them signed in the foreseeable future.
This whole situation is very difficult for us all, but if all work together we will get through it as soon as possible.
Please keep safe everyone.

A local play group have use of the village hall until lunchtime on Friday, so we have to give them time to clear the car park.
Unfortunately we have had to cancel some of the spaces on the Valentine's rally this coming weekend. The field that we use is very mud and unsuitable for caravans. I have spoken to everyone that has had their bookings cancelled, so if you are booked on the rally and haven't had a phone call then you still have a space. Also due to limited amount of space can I ask people not to bring additional cars if possible.
Can I urge anyone still booked on to let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend as we have alot of disappointed members who would like to be on the rally. If you can't make it please let Andy Bunn know asap.
For those of you booked on to this rally, to help us with the catering, can we ask you to confirm in advance what food from the menu you require. Please choose a starter, main and dessert per person. Can you please message back by the 2nd February to confirm your food orders.
